Fim do Windows 10: o que está acontecendo?

A Microsoft confirmou que o Windows 10 atingirá o fim do suporte gratuito em 14 de outubro de 2025.
A partir dessa data, o sistema não receberá mais atualizações de segurança ou de recursos para a maioria das versões.
O que muda para o usuário
- Computadores que permanecem com Windows 10 continuarão funcionando, mas ficarão vulneráveis: sem correções de segurança, o que aumenta riscos de ataques.
- A Microsoft recomenda a migração para Windows 11, que conta com suporte ativo e novos recursos de segurança e desempenho.
- Há um programa de Extensão de Segurança — Extended Security Updates (ESU) — que permite continuar recebendo atualizações de segurança por mais tempo, mas com condições.
🎯 Por que esse encerramento?
- O Windows 10 foi lançado em julho de 2015.
- A Microsoft segue sua política de ciclo de vida de softwares: após cerca de dez anos de suporte para versões principais, o suporte é encerrado.
- Com o avanço de hardware, segurança e novas plataformas, manter antigos sistemas torna-se mais custoso e arriscado para as empresas.
🔍 Itens de atenção importante
- Mesmo após 14 de outubro 2025, algumas máquinas poderão se inscrever no programa ESU, mas sem novos recursos, apenas correções de segurança.
- Versões “LTSC” (Long Term Servicing Channel) do Windows 10 — usadas em ambientes corporativos específicos — podem ter cronograma diferente.
- Usuários com hardware que não é compatível com Windows 11 terão que avaliar alternativas (trocar de máquina, usar outro sistema, etc).

Verificar se seu PC é compatível com Windows 11 (processador, TPM, etc).
Fazer backup dos dados importantes antes de tudo.
Planejar a migração para Windows 11 ou outro sistema — quanto mais cedo, melhor.
Se for continuar com Windows 10, considerar o ESU para manter alguma proteção de segurança por mais tempo.
